Job summary

Network Connex is seeking a Foreman to lead the construction of aerial and underground fiber optic facilities. You will oversee site preparation, excavation, and installation work, and operate equipment such as skid steer, mini-x, and trucks.

This role requires hands-on leadership on job sites. Responsibilities include coordinating crew, reviewing build plans, tracking inventory, ensuring safety and quality, and managing schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or supervisory role in construction preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment screening including background and drug tests.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Capable of meeting physical demands and outdoor work in all weather.
• Able to travel away from home including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the crew from project start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and timelines.
• Review documentation with the crew to plan build and determine installation methods.
• Supervise tracking of on-site inventory and materials.
• Collect, review, and submit on-site closeout documentation per timelines.
• Train crew members on safety and quality standards under CCDP.
• Verify crew certifications and skillsets for scope of work.
• Maintain issued equipment and report deficiencies.
• Submit daily progress reports including delays and material needs.
