Job summary

Mainline LLC in Greenville/Spartanburg, SC seeks an experienced Maintenance & Quality Assurance Manager to oversee fiber network reliability, maintenance, and QA across our infrastructure. This role leads preventive and corrective maintenance, QA inspections, field audits, contractor performance, and documentation to ensure top-tier service and safety.

Qualifications

5+ years in telecommunications, fiber optics, outside plant, network maintenance, construction, or related field.
2+ years supervisory or management experience.
Strong understanding of fiber networks and OSP facilities.
Experience troubleshooting fiber network issues and coordinating restoration.
Quality assurance, field inspections, audits, or construction/maintenance QC experience.
Reading fiber network maps, drawings, splice diagrams, and engineering docs.

Responsibilities

Manage maintenance programs for fiber outside plant including underground and aerial facilities, cabinets, handholes, pedestals, and splices.
Establish maintenance schedules, procedures, and performance standards.
Monitor outages, trouble tickets, repeat failures; identify root causes and corrective actions.
Coordinate emergency restoration to minimize downtime.
Ensure maintenance work is documented and within SLA.
Collaborate with Network Operations, Engineering, Construction, Customer Service, and Field Ops to resolve issues.
Develop and maintain QA standards for fiber maintenance and field operations.
Conduct regular field inspections/audits of fiber facilities, repairs, and workmanship.
Verify compliance with specs, standards, and best practices.
Identify deficiencies and drive corrective actions; track recurring quality issues.
Maintain quality metrics and report to senior management.
Lead, coach, and develop maintenance and quality personnel and field resources.
Set expectations for productivity, safety, documentation, and customer service.
Manage daily assignments, staffing, and escalation; provide technical guidance.
Promote accountability, continuous improvement, safety, and excellence.
Manage contractor and vendor performance; audits and corrective actions.
