Job summary

Frontier Communications is seeking a Fiber Network Field Technician in Pico Rivera, CA to handle service orders, repair activity, installation at the hub, and customer premises equipment. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining fiber equipment, working with inside wiring, interpreting schematics, and coordinating with the Fiber Solution Center.

Responsibilities

• Installs, removes, configures, tests and maintains fiber network services.
• Installs and configures routers and set top boxes; may assist with PC software setup.
• Repairs fiber equipment; handles inside wiring and fiber jumpers at distribution hub; activates ONT.
• Interacts with customers to place equipment, assist with account setup and training, ensures satisfaction.
• Interprets schematic work orders to determine job specs and equipment needs; orders gear.
• Uses test equipment to analyze faults and take corrective actions.
• Per company policy, workers must not exceed 275 pounds including clothing and gear.
