Job summary

Lumos Fiber is seeking an OSP Construction Project Engineer in the Waco area to expand the 100% Fiber Optic network. You will oversee contractor performance, drive multiple projects from readiness to closeout, and ensure safety, quality, and budget compliance.

This field-based role requires regular onsite work throughout the Waco market; reside within 30 miles of the market and be willing to travel between active sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in OSP construction or related field operations.
• Experience managing multiple active projects and contractors.
• Strong PM, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple OSP builds from readiness through closeout.
• Set expectations for contractors and subcontractors on safety, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Track progress, costs, risks, and updates for stakeholders.
• Inspect active jobsites to meet OSHA, NESC, and Lumos standards.
• Coordinate permitting, materials, utilities, and dependencies.
• Resolve field roadblocks professionally and promptly.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Permitting, and Supply Chain.
