Job summary

GoNetspeed seeks an ISP Engineer to design, implement, and maintain transport and central office systems, ensuring reliable service across New York. You will plan network augments, manage capacity, perform installations, and lead projects to upgrade infrastructure.

The role requires five years of relevant experience, a technical degree, and knowledge of DWDM, GPON, and fiber, plus the ability to work nights, weekends, and travel across NY.

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant technical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of fiber, DWDM, GPON, and Carrier Ethernet architectures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute complex network augmentations and rearrangements.
• Maintain spares inventory, capacity, and redundancy for transport and access networks.
• Work on central office facilities, utilities, and related systems.
• Provide technical support for major network improvements and projects.
• Mentor coworkers in new technology and best practices.
• Handle on-call rotations and after-hours work as needed.
