Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a telecommunications construction coordinator in Kent, WA to partner with fiber engineers and manage multiple vendors from bid through closeout. The role ensures constructability, permits, and schedule readiness while tracking material orders and budgets.

You will coordinate with municipalities and utilities, oversee field activities, maintain safety standards, and provide milestone updates and escalation when needed.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of telecommunications construction experience.
• Experience supporting Outside Plant (OSP) fiber construction projects.
• Knowledge of aerial and underground fiber construction methods.
• Experience managing multiple vendors, contractors, and construction schedules.
• Familiarity with permitting processes and utility coordination.
• Strong project coordination and budgeting experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Fiber Engineers to execute construction projects.
• Manage construction vendors and subcontractors from bid through closeout.
• Conduct constructability reviews and validate project readiness.
• Develop bid packages and oversee contractor selection.
• Coordinate permit acquisition and construction plan development.
• Track and manage material orders and deliveries.
• Oversee field construction activities, schedule adherence, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with local municipalities, utilities, and state agencies.
• Provide project status updates, milestone reporting, and escalation management.
• Monitor project budgets and negotiate vendor costs.
• Serve as site safety and quality assurance representative.
• Ensure compliance with construction standards and safety practices.
• Resolve field issues and recommend solutions to maintain project timelines.
