Job summary

Hamilton by Gunnebo, a Made in the USA manufacturer with over 50 years of experience, seeks a Machine Operator I for the 2nd shift, specializing in fiber laser operations. You will run and monitor fiber laser cutting equipment, ensuring precision and quality in every cut, while supporting safety and continuous improvement on the production line.

Candidates should read blueprints, understand CNC programming basics, and be familiar with Fanuc controls and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Experience operating fiber laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with CNC programming and blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of GD&T and fabrication techniques.
• Hands-on tooling setup on press brakes, stamping presses, CNC mills/lathes, and forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor fiber laser cutting machines with precision, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards
• Set up machine parameters using CNC programming, CAM programming, and blueprint reading to produce accurate parts
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of fiber laser equipment to maximize efficiency
• Utilize mechanical knowledge and hand tools for material handling, fabrication, and tooling adjustments
• Conduct quality control checks using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions
• Maintain detailed documentation of production runs, machine logs, and inspection reports
• Participate in 5S and Kaisan activities and projects
• Follow safety protocols diligently while handling materials, tools, and machinery on the factory floor
• Other duties as assigned.
