Job summary

Hamilton by Gunnebo is seeking a Machine Operator I for the 2nd shift to operate and maintain fiber laser cutting equipment, set up parameters from CNC programs, and ensure precise, quality parts. You will participate in 5S activities, document production runs, and uphold safety on the factory floor.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor fiber laser cutting machines with precision, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Set up machine parameters using CNC programming, CAM programming, and blueprint reading to produce accurate parts.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of fiber laser equipment to maximize efficiency.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge and hand tools for material handling, fabrication, and tooling adjustments.
• Conduct quality control checks using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of production runs, machine logs, and inspection reports.
• Follow safety protocols diligently while handling materials, tools, and machinery on the factory floor.
