Job summary

Hamilton by Gunnebo seeks a Machine Operator I for the 2nd shift to operate and monitor fiber laser cutting equipment, set up parameters, and ensure precision parts. You will perform routine maintenance, document production runs, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes CNC programming, blueprint reading, and familiarity with SolidWorks/CAD tools, Fanuc controls, and GD&T.

Qualifications

Experience operating fiber laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in CNC programming and blueprint reading.
Familiarity with SolidWorks and CAD tools; Able to interpret drawings.
Experience with Fanuc controls and PLCs.
Knowledge of GD&T and fabrication techniques.
Hands-on tooling setup on presses, CNC mills/lathes.
Strong quality control mindset and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor fiber laser cutting machines with precision and quality.
Set up machine parameters using CNC programming and blueprint reading.
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of fiber laser equipment.
Conduct quality control checks with calipers and micrometers.
Maintain machine logs and inspect reports for production runs.
Follow 5S and Kaizen activities on the floor.
Adhere to safety protocols and tooling changes as needed.
