Job summary

ITG Communications, LLC is seeking a Fiber Technician to perform in-home and on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic systems. The role supports high-speed data transmission infrastructure across residential and commercial environments.

Training is provided with paid training hours during a 4–8 week period, followed by production pay and potential overtime. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, strong oral communication, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior fiber installation or low-voltage cabling experience preferred but not required.
• Strong oral communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair fiber optic cables for internet, voice, and video services.
• Troubleshoot and replace damaged fiber components.
• Monitor signal strength and diagnose connectivity issues with testing equipment.
• Maintain records of installations, repairs, and customer interactions.
• Educate customers on services and assist with setup of customer-owned devices.
• Coordinate with dispatch and field leadership to manage work orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site.
