Job description

Join to apply for the Fiber Installation Technician role at Prince Telecom LLC.

Prince Telecom is seeking multiple entry-level Fiber Optic Installation Technicians in the Reading, PA area to help us connect America! We provide paid training, a company vehicle, full benefits, and more.

Pay: $16 - $22/hr+

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

1. Install, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic systems.
2. Set up and configure residential networking equipment such as ONT’s, routers, and switches.
3. Analyze and record test results by performing tests on company-issued and customer devices.
4. Interface with customers to identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived issues.
5. Complete paperwork accurately, and report/record all work order status updates.
6. Customer service duties such as:

• Greet and interact with customers professionally, including responding to escalations and repeated concerns.
• Review all requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement.
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage.

Who We Are Looking For…

• Minimum 18 years old
• Valid driver's license (Required)
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Comfortable working outdoors and in tight spaces (crawl space, attic, etc.)
• Able to work through inclement weather
• Experience with small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Effective communication skills
• Able to travel locally (with company vehicle) and work extended hours, including overtime and weekends
• Able to lift, climb, and carry ladders
