Job summary

Housley Communications, Inc. is seeking a Service Supervisor in Austin, TX to oversee fiber installation crews and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.

You will supervise teams, plan schedules, maintain documentation, and coordinate with managers, engineers, and customers to resolve issues, while upholding safety and procedure compliance. Travel and weather readiness required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree/certifications preferred
• 3+ years in fiber installation or telecom field work
• 1–2 years of supervisory or team lead experience
• Strong knowledge of fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to read blueprints, maps, and construction drawings
• Willingness to travel and work in various weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate fiber installation crews
• Plan and schedule installation projects to meet deadlines and customer expectations
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and customers to resolve issues
• Maintain accurate job documentation, including work orders, reports, and inventories
• Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs
