TDS Telecom is seeking a Telecommunications Horizontal Directional Driller II in Butte, MT to build and maintain our fiber optic network. You will operate construction equipment, install and test fiber facilities, and update GIS data while following safety standards.

The role offers a full-time schedule, CDL training, and opportunities to work across urban, suburban, and rural communities with a focus on reliable connectivity.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of construction equipment operation with underground or aerial equipment such as directional drills, trencher/plow, backhoe or bucket trucks.
• Valid driver's license and eligibility for DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain construction equipment for aerial and buried fiber networks.
• Install, splice, test, troubleshoot, and repair fiber facilities.
• Update maps, GIS and as-builts; ensure safety and compliance.
