TDS Telecom in Butte, MT is seeking an Outside Plant Construction Technician II to build and maintain our fiber network. You will install, test, troubleshoot, and repair fiber facilities, work with trenchers, backhoes, and bucket trucks, and help keep communities connected.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of construction equipment operation on underground and aerial projects (drills, trencher/plow/rocksaw, backhoe, bucket trucks).
• Ability to obtain Class A CDL through training (preferred).
• Valid driver's license and DOT eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain aerial and buried fiber facilities and equipment safely.
• Install, splice, test, troubleshoot, and repair fiber optic facilities.
• Update maps, GIS, and as-built records; label infrastructure such as vaults and handholes.
