Job summary

Ripple Fiber is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair Ripple Fiber equipment at the Indian Trail, NC location. You will ensure high levels of customer service while supporting both residential and business networks.

Responsibilities include managing last mile network gear, troubleshooting faults, documenting network layouts, and assisting with escalations. A valid driver’s license and flexibility to work evenings/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid state driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Ability to operate hand tools and handheld mobile devices.
• Experience working in customer service, construction, electrical, technical or related field is a plus.
• Clean driving record.
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Identify wire and cable colors.
• Qualify on pre-employment assessments.
• Be available for overtime, emergency call outs and holiday work.

Responsibilities

• Manage last-mile, in-home and business network equipment.
• Fault finding to resolve complaints.
• Create and maintain network documentation.
• Use monitoring tools to troubleshoot network performance.
• Assist with escalations (2nd line) to resolve end user issues.
• Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and install broadband services (Wi‑Fi routers and smart home devices).
• Route fiber optic drop cable from a termination box to a router location.
• Connect home and business networks for clients.
• Assist customers in connecting their home devices to the Ripple Fiber network.
