Bristol Alliance of Companies is seeking a Drop Installer II to perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of buried and aerial fiber and copper drop cables connecting the main network to customer locations.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and 6–18 months of field experience. Candidates must be able to lift up to 100 pounds, work at heights, and adhere to safety protocols across various sites.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install and repair aerial and buried fiber or copper drops according to standards.
• Communicate with customers, explain installation steps, and identify optimal drop paths.
• Operate hand tools and test equipment for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Test signals and diagnose issues on drop facilities and perform repairs.
• Follow safety regulations, company procedures, and industry standards.
• Document job reports, trouble tickets, and inventory activities.
• Potentially mentor junior Drop Installers I and ensure site restoration.
• Work in varied weather conditions and at heights, sometimes in confined spaces.
