Job summary

TEKsystems seeks Cable Technicians to support data center and commercial cabling projects in Atlanta, GA. This role focuses on fiber pulling, Cat6 terminations, and network infrastructure installations.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of commercial cabling experience.
• Experience pulling fiber optic cabling.
• Experience with Cat6 terminations and structured cabling systems.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and installation documents.
• Knowledge of telecommunications color codes.
• Experience using common cabling and construction tools.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Pull and route fiber optic and copper cabling in data center and commercial environments.
• Terminate Cat6 cabling and support network connectivity installations.
• Install cable trays, wireways, buss ducts, and other cable support infrastructure.
• Build telecommunications closets with racks, patch panels, cross-connects, and hardware installations.
• Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling as required.
• Terminate patch panels and perform IDC connections (110 and 66 blocks).
• Read and follow blueprints, specifications, and project drawings.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain quality standards and follow all safety requirements on site.
