Job summary

Kinetic is seeking a Buried Drop Technician to perform physical installation of buried copper, fiber, and coaxial cable from the hub to homes. You will leverage technical skills and customer focus, interpret drawings, and complete necessary paperwork.

The role involves promoting Uniti products, training new staff, and operating equipment for trenching and cable burial, with travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk ½ mile+ with a drop plow.
• Ability to travel and work overtime or on-call as needed.
• Basic technology and math skills.
• Ability to distinguish colors in color-coded cable.
• Lift up to 70 pounds and pass training including DOT.
• DOT certification and maintenance of DOT status.

Responsibilities

• Perform buried copper, fiber & coaxial drop cable installations to connect the network to residences.
• Interpret drawings, complete paperwork, and promote Uniti products.
• Train new employees and operate a handheld device for tasks.
• Work with trenching and boring equipment to bury cables.
