Samtec, Inc. is seeking a Fiber Attach (FA) Operator for the second shift in Colorado Springs. You will prepare optical cable, attach cable assemblies to connectors, and perform testing and inspections to ensure quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• One year of production/manufacturing experience.
• Willing to wear protective gear around hazardous materials and chemicals.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality mindset.

Responsabilités

• Heat strip, cleave and inspect fiber.
• Attach optical cable to connectors.
• Perform measurements, alignment and testing of optical cable.
• Read, comprehend and build orders from blueprints and PICS.
• Understand equipment and tooling used in the assembly process.
• Use a microscope for extended periods.
• Maintain in-process workflow in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Suggest ideas for improved processes and tooling.
• Pay attention to detail.
