Job summary

Smile Digital Health is seeking a Technical Implementations Lead to drive performance, scalability, durability, and security of custom solutions built on our healthcare data platform. The role collaborates with customers and internal teams to implement configurations, scripting, and architecture guidance across Smile’s offerings.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in Java and JavaScript, deep experience with Spring/REST/SQL/Git, and a background in healthcare tech standards (HL7/FHIR).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Java and JavaScript development.
• Proven expertise in Spring, REST, SQL, and Git.
• 3+ years designing and delivering software solutions independently and in teams.
• Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to support implementations of Smile's products and services.
• Develop expertise in Smile’s core technologies and standards (HL7, FHIR, OpenID Connect, Kubernetes, Java, JavaScript, JSON, XML).
• Effectively manage priorities across concurrent projects and escalate when needed.
• Stay current with industry trends to guide client initiatives and align with innovations.
• Collaborate with implementations, service and account teams to drive profitability of engagements.
• Support technical analysts and participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
