Job summary

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 2 years relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency and/or education.
• Five years of full time paid-professional experience managing facilities design or planning and coordination of capital projects.
• Two years of education facilities design, planning and construction experience.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Space planning of furniture and equipment.
• Experience with construction management.
• Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment and Move Service Procurement.
• Live near San Bernardino.
• Graduation from a college/univ with architecture, interior architecture, engineering or construction management degree.
• Preferred Licenses and Certificates: CCM credential; LEED accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Program Manager, Construction Management team, College Project Managers, building user groups and District consultants to plan and oversee the installation of furniture, fixtures and equipment.
• During design, provide furniture and equipment layouts within architectural floor plans and comment on infrastructure needs.
• Inventory existing furniture and equipment for removal, salvaging, or reuse.
• Assist the District and College in selecting new furniture and equipment and align with campus standards.
• During construction, plan removal, storage, and relocation of items and coordinate with moving vendors.
• Process POs and contracts to ensure items arrive on time before semester starts.
