Job summary

Austin Community College is seeking a Furniture, Fixtures, & Equipment Intern (Hourly) to support Project Managers with planning, procurement, and installation of FF&E. You will assist in supplier selection, specification, procurement, and documentation, and help coordinate invoices and delivery timelines.

You should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design (or a recent graduate) with an interest in space planning, materials, and furniture trends.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a recent graduate.
• Basic knowledge of space planning and furniture specifications.
• Familiarity with reading architectural drawings.
• Interest in interior design and furniture trends.
• Detail-oriented with strong visual aesthetics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in furniture and equipment selection, specification, procurement, and warranty processes.
• Review FF&E documentation, including specifications, drawings, and vendor quotes.
• Conduct inventory and update FF&E records.
• Coordinate with vendors for product samples, pricing, and delivery timelines.
• Assist in space planning and layout development using design software.
• Support project coordination, including scheduling installations and tracking orders.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and budget analysis related to FF&E projects.
• Conduct field verifications with measurements and photos.
• Create furniture plans for existing spaces.
