Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Sonography.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound equipment for general, vascular and/or cardiac studies.
• Review patient history, orders, and lab results to ensure exam accuracy.
• Position patient and select transducers and factors for optimal imaging.
• Identify and label images with patient identifiers and scan location.
• Document billing codes and enter study data into RIS.
