Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a qualified ultrasound professional to perform diagnostic procedures and generate imaging for clinical assessment. The role requires independent judgment, accurate documentation, and ongoing equipment maintenance to support patient care in the radiology department.

The candidate should hold a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer license, with preferred experience in OB/GYN imaging.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current RDMS license required.
• OBGYN experience preferred.
• Nuchal Translucency and Nasal Bone Imaging certification may be required based on department.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound diagnostic procedures as requested by the physician.
• Produces images for ultrasound diagnosis with independent judgment and initiative.
• Documents test results and maintains hard copy images.
• Handles preventive maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
• Inspects equipment daily and documents needed repairs.
• Maintains patient records as directed by hospital policy and procedure.
• Orders supplies and maintains inventory and orders supplies.
