Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Medical Sonographer to perform general, vascular and/or cardiac ultrasound exams at the 02257 AMG Womens Center Green Bay - OB/GYN: Reproductive Endocrinology location. The role requires ARDMS registrations or progression towards them with BLS certification within stated timelines.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, image acquisition, data entry into the RIS, and communicating findings to the physician.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in Sonography.
• No experience required.
• Ability to differentiate normal vs pathologic findings.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques.
• Ability to communicate with patients and caregivers clearly.
• Ability to follow department and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment for general, vascular and/or cardiac studies.
• Reviews patient records and orders to ensure exam accuracy.
• Positions patient and selects transducer/parameters to obtain quality images.
• Identifies and labels images with patient data and scan location.
• Maintains records and documents billing codes in the radiology system.
• Discusses findings with physicians after image analysis.
• Adheres to safety and PPE guidelines and participates in equipment evaluation.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care for all patient groups.
