Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in pharmacy operations, prescription processing, or related environment.
• Active NJ pharmacy technician registration.
• Willingness to obtain TX registration and other states as needed.
• Experience reviewing prescription information, dosages, directions and supplies.
• Experience with benefits/insurance verification or analysis.
• Strong attention to detail with high-volume data entry.

Responsibilities

• Review and process prescriptions and order information received by fax, email, and other channels.
• Enter patient, prescription, medication, dosage, and order details into pharmacy systems.
• Check information for completeness and resolve missing or inconsistent data.
• Perform benefits analysis and enter insurance coverage information.
• Confirm details before orders advance in workflow.
• Route non-prescription documents to appropriate teams.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and Patient Care Coordinators to resolve questions and complete processing.
• Maintain accurate patient records while following privacy and procedures.
