Qualifications

• Minimum three years of managed care experience in a health care organization.
• Knowledge of clinic policies, health care insurance practices, billing/insurance/coding, medical terminology.
• Ability to discuss costs clearly with patients and work with physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients to discuss costs for medical plans, tests, medications, and cycle fees.
• Calculate patient financial responsibility considering insurance benefits and discounts.
• Obtain approvals, discuss fee due dates for IUI/IVF cycles, and complete follow-up letters.
• Perform post-cycle audits, submit refunds, and notify patients of past due balances.
• Assist Billing and Insurance Coordinators with financial and insurance issues and update flowsheets.
• Ensure website reflects up-to-date information and provide front-office backup when needed.
