Qualifications

• Valid State of Alaska Driver License with acceptable driving record.

• Five years of relevant marine experience, servicing marine machinery such as propulsion systems, air systems and hydraulics.
• Three years total experience handling lines, tackle and mooring equipment.
• Any combination of related education and/or related experience will be considered if the candidate possesses the demonstrated ability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee prevention and general maintenance of the ferry fleet.
• Maintain schedules and documentation of all work on vessels.
• Order materials with guidance of Maintenance Superintendent.
• Act as airport Port Engineer when vessels are in yard maintenance periods.
• Perform maintenance and operate ferry transfer bridges and docks.
• Perform routine cleaning, painting, and other vessel maintenance work.
