Job summary

NANA Construction is seeking an experienced Port Engineer to manage the maintenance and operational readiness of their Civil & Marine Division's tug and barge fleet in Alaska. The ideal candidate will have a strong marine engineering background, with responsibilities including overseeing repairs, maintaining regulatory compliance, and coordinating with vessel crews and shipyards.

This full-time on-site position requires strong project management skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. The role also demands familiarity with U.S. Coast Guard regulations and willingness to travel throughout Alaska.

Qualifications

  • Five years of marine engineering or vessel maintenance experience.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Coast Guard regulations.
  • Ability to travel throughout Alaska, including remote locations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance and reliability of tug and barge fleet.
  • Coordinate shipyard projects and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Develop and implement compliance programs with Coast Guard regulations.
