Job summary

Red Star Yeast in Headland, AL is seeking a night shift operator to support fermentation production on a 12-hour schedule (6:00 PM–6:00 AM), weekends and holidays as needed. Training will occur primarily on the day shift for the first 2–4 months.

Must be prepared to work either day or night shift and follow safety, CIP, and recordkeeping procedures. The role involves monitoring fermentation equipment, adjusting processes, and maintaining accurate documentation while upholding company policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 3 years of experience in a food grade production facility or process industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow fermentation procedures and adjust processes.
• Notify lead operator of equipment failures and problems.
• Follow production schedule.
• Follow CIP and molasses procedures.
• Learn and follow safety rules and company policies.
• Read and understand safety data sheets for chemicals.
• Oversee fermentation separation.
• Enter fermentation data on control sheets.
• Maintain accurate written and electronic records.
• Communicate respectfully with others.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
