Job summary

Novonesis in West Allis, WI is seeking a Lead Operator – Fermentation (Nights) to lead a 24/7 fermentation team. This hands-on role combines operations with coaching and shift coordination to ensure safe, compliant production of biologics.

You will monitor processes, document results, support audits and continuous improvement, and partner with supervisors to meet daily output targets. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, comfort in a regulated environment, and basic math/IT skills; SAP

Qualifications

• Must-have background in a regulated manufacturing setting with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Able to read detailed production logs and follow procedures precisely.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example with safety-first and quality-always mindset; set team expectations.
• Schedule daily tasks, set priorities, and coordinate with supervisors and planning.
• Document production, inventory, and process records; support audits and improvements.
• Coach and develop team members; monitor performance across the night shift.
