Job summary

Lesaffre North America is seeking a Compressed Yeast Operator for the day shift (6a-2p) in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will work across all machines in the department and train on operating different equipment to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow instructions, learn and ask questions.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a safety-first culture by following all safety protocols.
• Perform sanitation on equipment, infrastructure, and allocated areas.
• Monitor quality controls during production, including weight checks and code date verifications.
• Record and maintain accurate written and electronic information.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect infrastructure and equipment and notify management when maintenance is required.
• Help troubleshoot equipment and process problems.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
• Learn and operate all equipment in the department; cover shifts; overtime may be required.
