Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is the world’s largest equipment rental provider seeking a Fence Installation Driver to deliver, install, remove and repair temporary fencing equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service.

You will operate a fencing truck, perform inspections, and coordinate with the team to ensure projects meet customer specifications. CDL is preferred and some weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• 1 year of truck driving experience required (CDL license preferred).
• 2 years fencing/construction experience preferred.
• Safety-first mindset and knowledge of safe driving procedures.
• Ability to locate utility markings and follow underground safety requirements.
• Forklift operation training provided.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to mount/dismount trucks multiple times daily.
• Ability to lift and move up to 45 pounds (45+ with assistance).
• Some weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, install, remove and repair temporary fencing equipment.
• Safely operate fencing trucks and ensure loads are secure.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and tools.
• Meet with customers to review fencing projects and provide updates.
• Prepare job site and install fence as per specifications.
• Coordinate and oversee Fence Installation Associate on-site progress.
• Train associates on safety and installation techniques.
• Provide on-site moves and fence material delivery to customers.
• Possibly operate forklift for loading/unloading.
