Job summary

EisnerAmper is seeking a Staff Consultant - FEMA in our Government Services Practice to support FEMA-funded initiatives, including PA/IA and related programs. The role emphasizes compliance, financial management, and program implementation within state/local disaster recovery contexts.

The candidate will assist with audit readiness, closeouts of open disasters, and development of client deliverables, while engaging in business development and coordination across firm offices as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in state/local disaster recovery programs administering FEMA funds.
• Knowledge of FEMA disaster programs, statutes, regulations, policies and processes; compliance/financial management functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Safety, Emergency Management, Disaster Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in maintaining compliance with FEMA regulations and 2 CFR 200.
• Assist with expediting complex closeout of multiple open disasters.
• Support client financial management and accounting functions, including time and cost unit operations and cost tracking.
• Apply knowledge to determine method of program implementation.
• Ensure timely and accurate development of all client deliverables.
• Engage in business development activities by identifying funding opportunities and proposals.
