Job summary

Albany Medical College seeks fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists to join its department within the Capital Region's only academic medical center. The role covers perioperative pediatric care across multiple specialties, including general pediatric surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, and complex cases.

Responsibilities include patient care for infants and children, teaching residents and students, participating in research, and collaborating with the perioperative team.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and NY licensure eligibility
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology required
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the ABA or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity supported
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and perioperative teams to optimize outcomes
• Mentor trainees and junior faculty in professional and academic growth
