Job summary

Albany Medical College is seeking fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists to join six dedicated pediatric anesthesia faculty in the Capital Region's only academic medical center. The role provides perioperative care across multiple specialties and opportunities for resident and student teaching.

The position supports clinical research in a collaborative, academically focused setting with mentorship for trainees and junior faculty.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required; board-certified/board-eligible in anesthesiology preferred.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology required.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• ABA-endorsement or foreign equivalent recognized by ABA.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity supported and encouraged.
• Collaborate with surgeons and perioperative team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Mentor trainees and junior faculty for professional and academic growth.
