Albany Medical College's Department of Anesthesiology seeks fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists at all ranks to join our team within the Capital Region's only academic medical center. We provide perioperative care across specialties and opportunities to care for children in various settings including imaging and interventional procedures.

We value collaboration, education, and research, with mentors for residents and junior faculty.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology (required).
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABA.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and nurse anesthetists.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity is supported and encouraged.
• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Mentor trainees and junior faculty in professional and academic growth.
