Job summary

Albany Medical College's Department of Anesthesiology seeks fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologists to join our six-faculty team in the Capital Region's only academic medical center. We provide perioperative care for a wide range of pediatric specialties, including general pediatric surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, plastics, and select neonatal and complex congenital cases.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology (required).
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the ABA, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABA.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity is supported and encouraged.
• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support for trainees and junior faculty in professional and academic growth.
