Job summary

Albany Medical College seeks fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologists to join six dedicated faculty in the Capital Region's only academic medical center. You will provide perioperative care for a wide range of surgical specialties and participate in education, research, and collaboration with the perioperative team.

Clinical roles include pediatric anesthesia in inpatient and outpatient settings, with opportunities to work beyond the main OR and contribute to trainee mentorship.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or equivalent).
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology (required).
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, or foreign equivalent recognized by the ABA.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity is supported and encouraged.
• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support for trainees and junior faculty in professional and academic growth.
