Job summary

Lyssy & Eckel Feeds is seeking a customer-focused Feed Sales & Customer Service Representative in Texas to assist farmers and livestock owners with feed selection and ordering. You will manage orders, invoices, and records, while communicating delivery status and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Experience in animal nutrition and agriculture is highly valued; the role blends sales with administrative duties and requires accurate data entry and proactive follow-up.

Qualifications

• Animal nutrition experience is highly desirable and a significant plus.
• Education in Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, Agribusiness, Agriculture, Livestock Production, or related field preferred but not required.
• Agricultural, livestock, feed, ranching, or related industry experience strongly preferred.
• Customer service, feed sales, order entry, invoice verification, or administrative experience helpful.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy with numbers and records, ability to resolve order/invoice errors.
• Ability to manage multiple requests, orders, admin tasks, and follow-up priorities simultaneously.
• Comfortable using computers, Excel, and learning company-specific software.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer feed orders by phone, email, and other methods.
• Ask about animals and goals; recommend appropriate feed products.
• Verify invoices against orders and delivery records for accuracy.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate corrections.
• Update customers on order status and delivery times.
• Perform daily administrative duties and maintain records.
• Develop relationships with existing customers and identify sales opportunities.
• Assist with new customer development and follow-up on opportunities.
• Maintain complete customer, order, and invoice data in systems.
• Learn feed products, uses, nutrition features, and processes.
