Job summary

Alphia is seeking a Mill Assistant to support the Team Leader in producing feed per schedules while adhering to FDA compliance policies. The role involves mixing and grinding ingredients to ensure correct quantity and quality of feed, and operating the batching system.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, sampling ingredients, monitoring grain levels, and maintaining safety and product integrity. High school diploma required; two years of feed-mill experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Two years’ prior experience at a feed mill preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader in manufacturing feed according to ration, schedule and FDA/LANI policies.
• Maintain production output and feed quality.
• Operate the computer batching system and load/unload trucks.
• Weigh ingredients, sample materials, and report quality concerns.
• Coordinate with maintenance and ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain clean, organized work areas.
