Job summary

Aviagen is seeking a Feed Mill Operator to safely operate and monitor feed mill equipment, ensuring production quality and schedule adherence. This role collaborates with production, QA, and maintenance to sustain clean, compliant operations.

The position requires basic math, English communication, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and reporting systems. Candidates should be willing to work rotating shifts and comply with all EHS policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for factory roles.
• Basic business English and math knowledge to document and calculate production data.
• Computer proficiency with Word, Excel and reporting systems.
• Ability to maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate feed mill equipment including receiving, batching, grinding, mixing, pelleting and loadout systems.
• Monitor equipment performance and adjust to maintain product quality and efficiency.
• Complete production schedules while meeting quality and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation per FDA and food safety requirements.
• Follow biosecurity protocols and company policies to protect livestock health and product integrity.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
