Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Feed Mill Utility Associate to perform housekeeping, safe traffic control, and receiving duties for feed ingredients. The role supports emergency procedures and ensures equipment and logs are properly managed.

The position requires ability to work nights, weekends, and extended shifts, with requirement to lift 60–100 pounds, climb ladders up to 125 feet, and work outside in all weather while following PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Must have a current and valid driver's license and meet MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping of Feed Mill facilities and grounds.
• Control access of staff, visitors, and trucks; verify credentials.
• Review logs for incoming/outgoing trucks and direct truck routes.
• Understand basic animal food safety and personal hygiene.
• Comply with policies, welfare guidelines, laws and regulations.
• Notify supervisor of any suspected quality or food safety events.
• Inspect and clean Feed Mill facilities during off-peak hours as needed.
• Record inspections of equipment on property and ensure proper operation.
• Report issues with logs, trucks, or other items to appropriate personnel.
• Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE.
• Assist with emergency protocols as needed.
• Assist in receiving feed ingredients when required.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
