Job summary

Wayne Farms in Collins, MS is seeking a warehouse receiving associate to unload incoming ingredient trucks, route materials to bins, and maximize space utilization while maintaining stock organization. You will operate the auto-receiving system, inspect materials, collect samples, rotate stock, and perform routine equipment maintenance.

The role requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and adherence to FSMA and GMP standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions (i.e. proportions, percentages, area, volume, etc.).
  • Possess basic computer knowledge and usage abilities.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, and read and write legibly.
  • Possess sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.

Responsibilities

  • Operate auto-receiving system and unload incoming trucks.
  • Inspect incoming material verifying condition and quality of product received matches receiving documents.
  • Collect feed samples in accordance with sampling plan.
  • Rotate stock.
  • Communicate and coordinate batching schedule and production with appropriate personnel maximizing efficiency while following FDA, GMP and QC procedures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Operate forklift as necessary.
  • Comply with all company policies, FSMA regulations, and local, state and federal laws, and regulations.
