Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum two years feed mill experience.
• Strong math skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, across all levels.
• Multi-lingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples from incoming feed ingredients and perform analyses to ensure ingredients meet quality specifications; report non-compliant ingredients to appropriate personnel.
• Enter analysis data into database and communicate concerns with trends to nutritionist and Mill leadership.
• Maintain FDA/FSMA compliance and update QA manuals and SOPs as needed.
• Conduct internal quality audits and participate in third-party, customer, and internal audits.
• Collect and ship samples for external laboratory analysis in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor ingredient usage and manage out-of-spec feed investigations; assist with recalls when required.
• Train employees on quality policies and procedures and ensure proper documentation and retraining as needed.
