Job summary

AgState is seeking a Feed Customer Service Representative in Sheldon, IA to deliver exceptional customer service and manage clerical tasks for the Feed Location. You will handle counter and phone inquiries, process orders, and assist with grain contracts and settlements in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• AA or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or 2–3 years related experience.
• Valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries at the counter and by phone regarding statements, sales, bids, grain contracting, pricing, and history.
• Take customer orders and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare customer grain contracts, settlements, and issue grain settlement checks as needed.
• Abide by state and federal rules, monitor grain contracts for compliance and ensure no lien on government hold.
• Prepare feed orders, purchase/work orders, to mill, invoice feed, and input grain transfers; track feed ingredients and lot movements.
• Weigh incoming and outgoing loads at scale; record grades and file tickets.
• Demonstrate work habits that support the team concept within the organization.
• Cultivate a fun and safe workplace for AgState employees and customers.
