Job summary

AgState is seeking a Feed Customer Service Representative in Sheldon, IA. You will handle customer inquiries at the counter and by phone, process orders, prepare contracts and settlements, and help track grain movement.

This role emphasizes accuracy, compliance with regulations, and contributing to a team focused on safety and service for producers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Driver License

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer inquiries at the counter and over the phone regarding such things as statements, sales, bids, grain contracting, pricing questions, grain offers and options, historical account activity, selling, etc.
• Take customer orders and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare customer grain contracts, settlements, and issues grain settlement checks, as needed.
• Abide with state and federal rules and regulations, monitors grain contracts to ensure compliance and make sure there is no lien on government hold.
• Prepare feed orders, purchase orders, work orders to mill, invoice feed, outgoing grain and prepare/input grain transfers, lot tracking for feed ingredients, track grain movement.
• Weigh incoming and outgoing loads at scale, record grades, input scale tickets, and file tickets.
• Demonstrate work habits that develop, build and support the team concept within the organization.
• Cultivate a fun and enjoyable workplace for AgState’ employees and customers .

SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Feed Q & A Manager, you will complete various administrative functions for our Feed location and Feed Division and will be responsible for establishing professional customer relationships.
