Job summary

AgState in Sheldon, IA is seeking a Feed Operations Supervisor to lead the feed department, optimize safety, quality, and customer service, and drive efficiency under the Location Lead.

You will hire and train staff, plan schedules, monitor performance, and coordinate with delivery and production teams to ensure timely, accurate feed production and on-time shipments, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Requires valid state driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organization and time management; ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree or 1–2 years related experience; supervision training and budgeting desired.

Responsibilities

• Always utilize good customer service skills when servicing and greeting customers and when working with co-workers and other departments.
• Demonstrate work habits that develop, build, and support the team concept within the organization.
• Assist in establishing and communicating department goals with the feed team.
• Monitor employee performance and ensure safety policies are followed and equipment is operated safely.
• Ensure quality standards meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Coordinate daily schedule to expedite custom mixing and grinding.
• Coordinate with delivery team to deliver feed to customers safely and efficiently.
• Support training efforts for personnel and monitor employee performance.
• Share in monthly inventory accountability.
