Job summary

CFS seeks a dependable driver to deliver feed accurately and efficiently to destinations listed on feed orders, while upholding safety and customer relations throughout each run.

Qualified applicants hold a valid CDL, DOT medical certification, and meet insurability standards. One year of relevant experience or an equivalent mix of education and experience is acceptable. Company benefits include health, life, disability, PTO, and retirement plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and efficient delivery of feed to the destination indicated on the feed order.
• Maintain good customer relations during deliveries.
• Comply with federal and state DOT regulations and aim for excellent CSA scores.
• Follow all company safety policies and observe traffic laws and OSHA regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance items.
• Keep equipment in good operating condition and clean appearance.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor or management.

In this job, the team member will provide accurate and efficient delivery of feed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and efficient delivery of feed to the destination indicated on the assigned feed order.
• Ensure deliveries are performed in such a manner as to maintain good customer relations
• Comply with all federal and state Department of Transportation regulations and strive for excellent Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA) scores
• Know and follow all company safety policies/procedure. Perform work in a safe manner while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report all maintenance items to supervisor
• Maintain equipment in operational and cleanly appearances at all times
• Represent yourself and CFS professionally at all times in action and appearance.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor or management

Requirements

• Maintain a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Maintain required Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification
• Maintain insurability requirements in accordance with property and casualty insurance guidelines
• One-year relevant experience or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.
