Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Cloud Operations Engineering to lead a diverse team of Cloud Engineers, DevOps and SRE professionals.

You will drive reliability, scalability, and best practices across hybrid cloud and data center infrastructure, coordinating with security, platform, and application teams to solve complex problems. The role emphasizes automation, IaC, incident response, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to mentor staff and shape operating models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant cloud ops/DevOps experience, or Master's degree with 6 years and 2+ years leadership.
• 2+ years leading technical teams including mentoring and performance management.
• Experience operating production cloud/hybrid environments and leading incident response in a 24x7 setting.
• Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or comparable tooling).
• Experience with FedRAMP/NIST 800-53 and/or SOC 2-aligned environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Cloud Engineers, DevOps, Infrastructure Operations Engineers and System Administrators to drive reliability and continuous improvement.
• Mentor team in infrastructure technologies and best practices and help career development.
• Oversee operations and maintenance of cloud-based, hybrid, and data center infrastructure.
• Champion automation and infrastructure-as-code practices to reduce manual work and streamline deployment.
• Establish clear incident communication and coordinate with stakeholders on status and updates.
